The 31st ACM SIGPLAN International Conference on Functional Programming is currently scheduled to take place in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA, on 24–29 August 2026.
ICFP is the premier conference on functional programming languages, covering all aspects of theory, implementation, and application. Every year, we bring together over 500 world-leading researchers, practitioners, and students to discuss the latest findings, collaborate on new ideas, and meet new people. By sponsoring ICFP, your organization can demonstrate its commitment to supporting high quality research and to developing the next generation of functional programming experts.
Most of our sponsorship funds are used to help students from around the world afford to attend the conference and get the most out of their experience, as well as to help ensure open-access publishing for the research papers presented at the conference. Non-Profit/Startup - $1,500
- Organization must be a non-profit or early-stage startup

Bronze - $2,500

Student Outreach Sponsor - from $20,000
Students are the lifeblood of academic research, and investing in them is critical to a successful future. The student poster session is a time when students can network while showing off work not yet ready for publication, and the networking lunch lets students meet peers as well as thought leaders from across the world.
- All the benefits of Platinum sponsorship
- Your logo will be displayed at the student research competition and you will be given special thanks during the awards
- Funds in excess of the platinum level will be used to support student travel to the conference with your company named as the sponsor and lower the student registration prices.
- There will only be one Student Outreach Sponsor
Diversity Sponsor - from $20,000
Diversity, equity, and inclusion are important values for the ICFP community. DEI initiatives will include a lunch targeted specifically to underrepresented groups as well as the Women in PL dinner. These aim to connect underrepresented faculty, post-docs and students, to celebrate achievements, small and big, and to provide a low-pressure atmosphere to foster building one’s support group.

ICFP takes inclusivity very seriously. To support virtual attendees and those wishing to view talks post-conference, we feel that high quality captions are a necessity.

- Sponsor will directly support captioning of all live ICFP 2026 events
- Your logo and mention of captioning sponsorship will be visible on-screen during the breaks and in between talks

Environment Sponsor - from $20,000
As an international conference, we are keenly aware of the environmental impact of gathering people from across the world. While virtual conferences are a useful tool, they pale in comparison to gathering people together under a common roof.

- A special thanks in the PACM journal issue for helping minimize the climate impact of ICFP 2026
- A callout and special thanks in the “Environmental Impact” note during the business meeting
- From the donated funds, at least $10,000 will be used to purchase carbon offsets

Mentoring Silver Sponsor - $3,000
The Programming Languages Mentoring Workshop (PLMW) at ICFP aims to encourage graduate students and senior undergraduate students to pursue careers in programming language research. As a sponsor, you will help students from underrepresented countries to attend both the main conferences and PLMW.

Mentoring Gold Sponsor - $6,000
- Your logo will be included in the PLMW @ ICFP 2026 web site
- You will get a table during PLMW
Streaming Sponsor - $6,000
- Covers one day of streaming costs for the main conference track by a dedicated team of SIGPLAN AV volunteers present on-site at the conference
- Sponsorship in this category will make it possible to increase the streaming coverage of the multiple parallel tracks happening during the event
- Your logo and mention of streaming sponsorship will be included in the stream during the breaks and in between talks
- Limited availability based on number of days. You can request which day you would like to sponsor on a first come, first served basis
Programming Contest Sponsor - $7,000
- Covers the costs of the server infrastructure running the ICFP Contest (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ICFP_Programming_Contest), contest prizes, and provides partial travel funding for the contest winners
- Your logo and mention of sponsorship will be featured on the contest web page and during the ICFP contest presentation
- There will only be one Programming Contest Sponsor
